Sadly, a very fine Beech tree was uprooted by the strong and gusting winds of last Thursday (30th January) and a team from Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, who look after the Fife Coastal Path, will start work at around 8 to 8 30 tomorrow (6th February) to cut up and remove the fallen tree.

 

This is skilled work and in order to carry out the operations safely it is vital that the path be closed. There will be tempoary fencing to restrict access during the work and we appeal to all path users to take note of these restrictions and avoid using the path during its closure to public access. It is for your safety and that of the FCCT team that these restrictions are being made. The path will be reopened once the work is completed.
